The threaded nut securing the two joining cables on the terminal block had, over time, loosened. Behing the plate is a terminal block upon which the cable from the batteries is joined to a cable that in turn connects to the rest of the electrical system within the coach. It is concealed and protected within the wheel well by a metal plate held in place by two screws. The positive cable exiting the battery compartment passes through the rear wall of the compartment into the top front of the rear wheel well. I don't know if the BFT wiring is routed anything like my 2001 23RK, but after much consternation tracking down an intermittent lack of voltage into the coach despite the batteries being good, this is what I found. In any event can't seem to get 12 volt to the coach and I'm baffled as to why. Hadn't noticed that before and not sure whether I'm guilty or not. Went back to the coach batteries, hooked up my volt meter, postive post on one battery to negative post on opposite and got 13+ volts on meter but nothing is getting to the coach? As I was leaving, did again turn off battery disconnect and noticed the warning on the bottom "Do not turn off when engine is running". Returned to the warehouse, reinstalled the batteries, opened the back door on the coach, turned the disconnect on, nothing. Purchased a digital volt meter and after charge both batteries had in excess of 13 volts. Anyway,I pulled the batteries, took them home and recharged. I'm allmost postive that after starting everything up the first time, I remember to turn the battery disconnect off before leaving the warehouse. Coach batteries were down, wouldn't turn over engine for generator. Another 3 weeks went by and I returned to repeat the procedure. Middle part of November put our BFT in storage, returned after 3 weeks to fire up engine and generator, no problem. ![]()
